Course Descriptions

This course is mandated by TREC for all license holders to renew an active license. The content is developed by the Texas Real Estate Commission, the Real Estate Center, and an advisory committee of licensees, lawyers, and education providers. It covers a variety of topics considered essential to the real estate practitioner.  

4 Hours CE

The content is developed by TREC, the Real Estate Center, and an advisory committee of licensees, lawyers, and education providers. It covers a variety of topics considered essential. Brokers who sponsor sales agents, designated brokers of a business entity that sponsor sales agents, and any license holder who supervises one or more other license holders (for 3 months or more during the supervisor’s current license period), must complete this 6-hour course.

This course is an overview of Concrete Cancer also known as ASR (alkali-silica reaction) and how it affects residential real estate.  There is no remedy for this defective condition causing homeowners to remove and replace their pools.   The course will cover everything from what it is, what to look for, what questions to ask the seller, what to do if the pool has the condition, and more.

This 3-hour course will provide insight into the most commonly used purchase agreement, the One to Four Family Residential Contract. This will be an overview of the contract and we’ll cover any recent updates.  This class is fluid so the forms may change.

This 3-hour contracts class focuses on the importance of paperwork.  When real estate contracts, addenda, and notices are completed thoroughly it can help if you are sued. We’ll talk about why we need an abundance of documents and why you should use them consistently. This class will cover common mistakes in the One to Four Family Residential Contract and cover what documents can help keep you out of trouble.

This 2-hour contract class focuses on the One to Four Family Contract and the mistakes that can happen when completing it. We will cover what goes in the blanks and what doesn’t. We will talk about unauthorized practice of law and discuss what to put in special provisions. More importantly, what does not go in special provisions. Also covered is paragraph 21 and the importance of clients information in the blanks.

This course will provide insight into the most commonly used TREC and Texas REALTORS forms. We’ll go over an overview of what forms should be used and when as well as what can go in the blanks. We’ll cover any recent updates or new forms.

This course will give you insight into hosting successful open houses. You will learn how to attract more visitors and how you can generate leads. There are scripts and dialogues provided. You’ll learn how to follow up after the open house and how to keep in touch.
